The New England SPJ chapter scholarship fund is administered by the Sigma Delta Chi Foundation, a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) organization that supports the educational programs of the Society of Professional Journalists. Donations to our scholarship fund should be made payable to the Sigma Delta Chi Foundation. The New England SPJ chapter scholarship fund was established in 2004. The goal is to raise $10,000 -- enough for NESPJ to award scholarships to local college students on an annual basis, and sustain the fund in perpetuity. Every year we hold a Halloween party called "Bloodfeast," which raises money for the fund and gets us closer to our goal.

The Sigma Delta Chi Foundation is classified as a public charity. Contributions are deductible as a charitable contribution for federal income tax purposes to the extent allowable by law.
